Lung Cancer Screening with LDCT
  • In 2017, lung cancer caused almost 156,000 Americans to lose their lives and is the leading cause of cancer death. It can be detected with Low Dose CT scan (LDCT). The second leading cause of lung cancer is radon, a naturally occurring gas which is common in Kentucky. LDCT is not a substitute for quitting smoking or exposure to second hand smoke. Don’t wait any longer, come in to the clinic to be screened for lung cancer and to find out the different options that are available to help you quit smoking. It is also important to have your home tested for radon levels.

New School Immunization Requirement Effective July 1, 2018
  • All students in kindergarten through twelfth grade must show proof of having received TWO doses of Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school... Please understand there is a minimum 6 month waiting period between doses. In order to receive the vaccines you must be an existing pediatric patient or schedule an initial appointment to establish care with Dr. Uddin. Further, Dr. Uddin will review your child’s records, health history along with the immunization record to see if your child is even eligible for the vaccines. A physical exam is also required before vaccine administration. This is a multi-step process, so please do not expect to show up get some shots and leave... Please do not panic, as schools allow children to remain in school as long as a waiver is written stating that the process of receiving vaccines has been initiated. Students aged 16 years or older, must show proof of having received TWO doses of Meningococcal ACWY vaccine to attend school. Most children receive their first dose at age 11, with a booster at age 16. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to give us a call at 270-351-3515 and one of our friendly staff will be more than happy to answer any of your questions!
